We will pick you up from Cusco very early. To take a three hours bus ride to Soraypampa (3,800 m). Once arrived, the chef will prepare the first breakfast facing the breathtaking mountains of HUMANTAY and SALKANTAY, before we start to walk we will meet our team of chef, porters and horsemen. Approximately at 9.00 a.m. we will start hiking towards the Humantay Lake. The first two hours will be uphill, until you get the beautiful lake. Along the way you will see endemic flora and fauna like the Andean goose (the love birds) and Vizcachas. our lunch will be at the foothills of Humantay mountain. After the lunch, we will continue climbing for two more hours to reach the Campsite (Salkantay basecamp at 4000 meters) and see this mountain in all its splendor. Here we will find our camping equipment all set up ready to go inside a take a nap to later have tea time and dinner.

Before the sunrise we will knock your tent with a hot cup of coffee or tea for a proper start to the day, once you come out you will be amaze by the scenery, huge plains surrounded by the tallest peaks of the largest mountain range in the world. After breakfast, you will start the longest day of your trip. Today, is almost 3 hours uphill and then downhill the entire day.The landscape throughout the day goes from the high Puna covered by Ichu grass to the warm and lush cloud forest. Along the way we will see a variety of flora and fauna including orchids and hummingbirds. There will be great sights of the lush valley and the fantastic waterfalls. Once you will be at the campsite you will enjoy the tea time and the dinner.

What better way to start the trip than with a driving tour and delicious picnic next to the Eiffel Tower?

We will wake up early in the morning (breakfast in hotel) in order to take the first bus and watch the sunrise at Machu Picchu. You will have 2 to 3 hours guided tour by your English speaking guide showing you the best of this legendary lost city of Mahcu Picchu surrounded by magnificent mountains. Then, you will have free time to explore Machu Picchu by yourself or climb the HuaynaPicchu or Machupicchu mountain (optional, book in advance). When you are done exploring, you will catch the bus back to Aguas Calientes for lunch. After, you will take the train and bus back to Cusco, where you will be drop off at your hotel.
